Free Data Mula Kay PLDT | Napaka Generous ni PLDT

9:15 AM 0

Ang sabi nya mayron daw silang alternative to compensate my problem.

PLDT Telephone Line Dead and Intermittent Internet Connection

3:14 AM 0
PLDT Telephone Line Dead and Intermittent Internet Connection

Kaya nag-apply ako for another connection para sa aming bahay. I choose to subscribe their 50 mbps plan worth of P2,899.

Nagbagong taon na for 2020 still wala pa ring aksyon ang PLDT.

Nabisitahan nila ako together with the installation team ng HOME FIBR.

Since December 15 until now February 10, wala akong nakausap ni isang technical team mula sa PLDT.

Mula noong nag Fibr connection kami, I promptly paid my monthly obligation both sa shop at sa house.

To check my history, please tingnan nyo ang aking account number sa inyong system:

Simbahang Katoliko Tatanggalin na ang Fixed Donation

6:41 PM 0

Credit Image: Screenshot from Bandila news of ABS-CBN

Malaysian Minister renews ties with Duterte, says PH has no territorial claims over Sabah

Malaysian Minister renews ties with Duterte, says PH has no territorial claims over Sabah

Manila---The Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad on Thursday paid courtesy to President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang to renew ties to the decades-long dispute over Sabah, the controversial territory of the southern country.

When was asked about the Philippines’ dormant claim to Sabah, a territory of south PH declared part of the Malaysian federation in 1963, Minister  Mohamad's stated in the exclusive interview of ANC, that PH has no claim.

"Well, as far as we’re concerned, there is no claim,” said Mahathir.

The Palace, however clarified that the country has claims despite of maintained arguments since Marcos administration.

“That’s their position. The position of the President is we have a claim,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a Palace press briefing Thursday.

“It’s true that we have a claim. That’s been the bone of contention since the time of [the late] President Marcos,” he added.

PM Mahathir who is in the Philippines for a three-day Official visit, seemed hesitant to speak about the matter and said no discussion will be performed between him and Duterte on Sabah when they meet later Thursday.

“We will not discuss that,” he said.

Duterte and Mohamad of Malaysia, together with their respective delegations, convened for an expanded bilateral meeting at the Aguinaldo State Dining Room in Malacañang Palace late Thursday.

The two leaders discussed matters concerning several areas of mutual cooperation including the economy, trade and investments, and people-to-people exchanges.

However, at the start of Duterte's presidency, he said that he would “stick with the original position of the government. Nothing has changed.”

The Philippines stakes its claim to Sabah by citing an 1878 land lease agreement between the Sultanate of Sulu and the British North Borneo Chartered Co.

The Philippines sticked to the agreement of the leasing of the land and did not render Sabah part of Malaysia when it was formed into a federation in 1963.

There had only been recurrent discussions between the Philippines and Malaysia over the claim wherein the latter has continued to govern the territory.

In November 2016, Duterte and then Prime Minister Najib Razak agreed to set aside the contention.

In 2013,  Malaysia has sentenced 9 Filipinos to death over the incident in Sabah where hundreds of militants from Tawi-Tawi to Lahad Datu in the territory declared their claim, calling themselves "Royal Security Forces of the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo.”

Meanwhile, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that Mahathir, in his previous stint as prime minister, now aged 93, undertook official visits to the Philippines in 1987 and 1994.This is his first visit to the country since being reelected as Malaysia's highest leader in 2018.

Mahathir was known for his strongarm, sometimes contentious style of rule intolerant of dissent from 1981 to 2003, but also for transforming his country in Southeast Asia from a sleepy backwater into a modern industrialized nation.

Police chief outrage against the 'kotong cop' favors the President

Police chief outrage against the 'kotong cop' favors the President

Manila---President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday said that he favoured the acts of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief for physically showing his outrage to a police officer a.k.a. 'kotong cop' who allegedly extorted money from a drug suspect.

The top cop Major General Guillermo Eleazar was caught in the act of pricking, scolding and pulling the hair of Regional Special Operation Unit of NCRPO Police Cpl. Marlo Quibete.

“Sabihan mo kay Eleazar, okay iyon. Eh ano bang namang ganon-ganon? Sabihin mo, I have his back covered,” Duterte said in a speech in Malacañang during the first anniversary celebration of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission.

Eleazar, however, apologized for lashing out and losing his temper but then clarified that his actions were justified.

He said his expression of displeasure to the violent confrontation should be a stern warning to police officers.

"Mapahiya na ang mapahiya, let us show this as a stern warning," he said.

Earlier, in a filmed video with the presence of police officers, Eleazar was grabbing Quibete's face and at one point pulling his hair while under arrest.

Quibete was handcuffed, collared and yelled by Eleazar in front of the media and other cops.

The cop involved, Quibete, was a member of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) of Eastern Police District (EPD).

He was arrested Wednesday midnight after allegedly demanding Php200,000 to a drug suspect named Aries Ochoada in replacement of his freedom who was then arrested in a buy-bust operation in Marikina City.

In a statement told by Quibete's live-in-partner, Eva Cabansag, she said that Quibete was asking too much to Ochoada including gold necklace and a motorcycle.

"Hiningan kami ng P200,000. Sabi ko, 'di ko kaya. Sabi P100,000 na lang, hindi pa rin kaya. Kung ano na lang meron kami. May pinapirmahan pang deed of sale nung motor naming na kunwari binenta ko sa kanila," Cabansag said.

According to the investigation, other members of EPD-DDEU had exchanged text messages to Quibete about the conspiracy including the head of the unit.

With that, Eleazar ordered the immediate relief of EPD chief Police Brigadier General Bernabe Balba and Pasay City Police chief Police Colonel Noel Flores, citing to face robbery and extortion.

Natakot na siguro dahil sa stiwasyon at namonitor nila na naaresto na itong kasamahan nila," he said in an interview with DZMM.

Since Duterte admin in 2016, war against drugs has striked over 5,000 drug suspects under police drug operations with criticisms of alleged police abuses and doubts about the legitimacy of police operations.

Duterte mocks opposition: 'Otso Diretso, papuntang impyerno'; Robredo reacts: 'It's a good sign'

Duterte mocks opposition: 'Otso Diretso, papuntang impyerno'; Robredo reacts: 'It's a good sign'

Manila---President Rodrigo Duterte has punch forward for the first time in a campaign rally the opposition slate of Vice President Leni Robredo, mocking them 'Otso Diretso, papuntang impyerno' for doing nothing but only critizing the current admin; in response, Robredo said the coalition have proven record and it's a good sign that the president notice them.

Speaking in a campaign trail Sunday before his ruling party the PDP-Laban, Duterte unleashed his reprimand to opposition senatorial bets led by former Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas who have done nothing but criticized and doubted the achievements of his administration.

“Sinong ipalit mo diyan sa ‘yang ‘Otso Diretso’ papuntang impiyerno? Totoo lang, hindi ako na-ano. Walang ginawa ‘yang mga tao na ‘yan puro criticize, hindi pa maniwala,” he said while getting applause from the crowd.
 Credit Image: https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2018/08/23/1845242/us-officials-ask-meet-duterte-purchase-military-equipment

The Otso Diretso slate is composed of Senator Bam Aquino, Magdalo party-list Representative Gary Alejano, former Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II and former Quezon Representative Erin Tañada.

The other four who completed the eight-man coalition are Former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay, Marawi civic leader Samira Gutoc, human rights lawyer Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno and election lawyer Romulo Macalintal.

In the middle of his speech, Duterte asked his staff for a list of the Otso Diretso candidates, belittling the competence of each bet naming Roxas, reelectionist Senator Bam Aquino, Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano, former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay and lawyer Romulo Macalintal.

He said the administration bets named former presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino and former Interior and Local Government Rafael Alunan III were more qualified senators than their rivals.

Duterte further pointing out to Roxas, called him a braggart due to questionable track record in public service.

“Mar Roxas. Susmaryosep.

Ano ang nagawa niya naiwan niya sa bayan?," he added.

The President also accused Roxas of political turncoatism for holding different Cabinet posts in previous administrations without any good track record.

During Estrada administration, Roxas was the Trade secretary and then switched to senatorial race in 2004 under former President and now House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, then served as Transportation and Interior secretary under former President Benigno Aquino III.

Nadaanan man niya lahat 'yan. Tapos porma. Ano ang nagawa niya? Bigyan mo ako isa. Maski isa lang,” he further said.

He also drawn his attention to reelectionist Senator Bam Aquino, saying he only just shares an uncanny resemblance with his uncle the late senator Benigno Aquino Jr. with also questionable legislative record.

“Bam Aquino. What have you done that is really impressive? Puro kayo oposisyon, puro kayo saway,” he said.

Duterte also affirmed that Tañada, who is a member of the Liberal Party, was a leftist.

“Erin Tañada? Left. And proud sila diyan sa left. They think that it’s popular. Kita mo kakapal ng mukha, nagawa pa ng ticket Otso Diretso?” he stated.

Duterte likewise warned the voters against committing a mistake of voting Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano, citing the history of unsuccessful mutinies of their group led by then-Navy officer and now Senator Antonio Trillanes IV against the Arroyo administration, Duterte said Alejano had made no sense in his statements for pushing the chief executive’s impeachment.

“Alejano, walang sense talaga magsalita. Marunong mag-English kasi PMAer eh. Lelechonin talaga ‘yan sila doon,” he said.

Duterte said Diokno was nothing to the eloquency of his father, the late former Senator Jose W. Diokno.

“Kalayo niya sa tatay niya. 'Yung si W. Diokno. 'Yun ang kuyaw. Pero ito, wala ito. Tignan mo magsalita. Wala. Hindi mo madala ang gobyerno,” he said.

As for Macalintal, Duterte said: “Abugado ka lang kung may pera ka. Papasok diyan wala kang pera.”

The President, on the other hand, skip to attack Marawi civic leader Samira Gutoc, the only woman in the opposition slate.

“Si Samira, babae man ‘yan, ayaw ko magsalita diyan. Ang rule ay pagka babae kalaban mo, you just shut up. Samira Ali Gutoc. So I have nothing to say to you, ma’am,” he said.

Meanwhile, with all the hurling of the President, VP Robredo admitted she felt happy as she treated this to gaining more public awareness.

"Feeling ko the mere fact na Presidente na mismo ang pumansin, inisa-isa iyong mga kandidato, pagpapatunay na nagpi-pick up iyong mga kandidato. Magandang senyales," she said in an ambush interview in Bulacan.

Robredo said it was the President’s choice not to be impressed by their bets. But she said, their candidates speak for themselves, saying it was the basis of how they were selected to be part of Otso Diretso.

"Meron itong mga track record na pinanindigan. In fact, 'yun ang basehan bakit silang 8 ang napili," the Vice-President said.

Contrary to the speech of the President, Robredo said 7 of the 8 Otso Diretso candidates have standing track record including Romulo Macalintal, Gary Alejano, Erin Tanada, Pilo Hilbay, Mar Roxas, Bam Aquino and Chel Diokno.

The president, however is scheduled to attend another administration rally in Abra this Tuesday for his continual tour around the country to campaign for his ruling party. He had earlier attended the major campaign rallies in Bulacan, Cebu and Zamboanga.

Bong Revilla supports death penalty for guilty plunderers

8:08 AM 0
Bong Revilla supports death penalty for guilty plunderers

Manila---The actor-turned-politician and now running senator anew, Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. on Monday said that he supports death penalty punishment over guilty plunderers if it's the way to solve large-scale corruption.

"Yung mga nagpa-plunder, yung nagnanakaw talaga sa bayan, dapat kung kinakailangang hatulan ng kamatayan para matigil na yan,” he told reporters during the Filipinos for Peace, Justice and Progress Movement’s (FPJPM) proclamation of support Monday.

Revilla, was acquitted along with former Senators Juan Ponce Enrile and Jinggoy Estrada, of having accusations of embezzling P224 million in discretionary funds while they were still in their positions.
Credit Image: https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/11/22/18/revilla-lawyers-prepare-for-plunder-decision-day-at-sandiganbayan

With the prosecution's failure to prove that Revilla got kickbacks from his "pork" or Priority Development Assistance Fund, prior to the ruling of the Sandiganbayan First Division, he was cleared of the plunder case for which he was detained for four and a half years.

He was detained at the Custodial Center of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame, Quezon City from 2014 until his discharge in December 2018.

However, he is still facing separate and ongoing pork barrel graft cases.

Revilla was obliged to pay P124.5 million to the government as civil liability together with his former staff Richard Cambe and businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, who were both convicted of plunder as insisted by the government prosecutors.

Likewise, Enrile and Estrada's plunder cases are still ongoing.

The three former lawmakers are now seeking a Senatorial seat in May elections after being freed from jail.

Meanwhile, Revilla also pointed out that false plunder accusers to also get the same punishment that he mentioned.

He also expressed his sorrow of how he was falsely accused of plunder.

“Papano naman yung mga katulad ko? Nahatulan ako na not guilty so papano naman yung nangyari sa buhay ko? Gaano katagal ako kinulong? Winasak ang buhay ng pamilya ko.”

He also said earlier on his campaign sortie in Bataan that his political enemies, without mentioning their names, took away “10 percent” of his life.

Revilla said that he has "forgiven" his political enemies the moment he was out of jail.

Ang sabi ng aking ama, ‘Anak, patawarin mo na sila,’” Revilla told in his speech in the sortie of the administration coalition Hugpong ng Pagbabago in Mariveles, Bataan.

Revilla is currently running for senator under Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte coalition, the Carpio’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago party.

Comelec officer says presenting of narco list candidates, an 'unfair and negative campaign'

Manila---The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) officer on Sunday said that it would be an unfair and negative campaign to present the names of politicians running on May elections, who were belonged to the narco list and having alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Unfair naman 'yun,” Comelec commissioner Rowena Guanzon said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año earlier said the list of supposed narco-politicians will be released before the start of the campaign period for local candidates.

“In due time we will release it. The start of local election campaign will be on March 30, before that period we will make public the list,” Año said.

“We do not want those innocent to get involved in this. It would be unfair to them,” Año added.

Año said the validation of the narco list is still ongoing wherein this week he is set to meet with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) director general Aaron Aquino and Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) chairman Catalino Cuy to lay down the details of the release before the May midterm polls.

Guanzon, on the other hand, suggests to the DILG and PDEA to file cases beforehand against the politicians who are clearly involved in drug trade prior to the releasing of the list.

She further said the Comelec has the authority to disqualify a candidate who is validated to being involved of such crimes.

Pwede,” she said.

Guanzon said it may be considered libel by listing politicians’ names who have not yet proven to be involved in the illegal drug activities.

Under the Revised Penal Code, libel is committed when there is public and malicious imputation of a crime, or of a vice or defect, real or imaginary, or any act, omission, condition, status, or circumstance tending to cause the dishonor, discredit, or contempt of a natural or juridical person, or to blacken the memory of one who is dead.

"You can do that maybe after the elections," Guanzon further said.

However, Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez earlier clarified that negative campaigning that promotes the negative side of a candidate is allowed under the law.

“Under the law, campaign propaganda is defined as anything that promotes the victory or defeat of a candidate,” Jimenez said.

“So by that standard, ‘yung kandidato na iyon, his defeat or her defeat can be promoted. It is a campaign propaganda which is negative and that’s allowed, so there’s no violation,” Jimenez added.

Last month, President Rodrigo  Duterte said he is open to the proposed release of the narco list in order to guide voters in choosing their right local bets.

PDEA said they are prepared to heed the instruction of the President on the narcolist, the same with the DILG that they will put on the President's hand the instruction about its release.

The latest data of the PDEA showed there are still 83 narco-politicians in the list as it is only the President who can approve the pending delisting of six individual candidates.

In a new amended memorandum issued on March 1, it said 6th grade students will have graduation rites, in continuance to the long-held tradition.

"This memorandum clarifies that the end of school year rites for Grade 6 completers for School Year 2018-2019 shall be a graduation ceremony," read memorandum, signed by Education secretary Leonor Briones said.

DepEd also made an apology for the "inconvenience and confusion" it has caused to parents and students because of the earlier announcement and said that they will retain the accustomed policy.

However, the falsehood memorandum dated February 18, 2019 released by the department, Briones said that only Grade 12 students (K-12 senior high school) should have graduation rites and be given diplomas as proof of completion.

It also includes statement that students in the kindergarten level, 6th grade, and 10th grade, the equivalent of 4th year high school before shift to K-12 educational system should only have moving up or completion ceremonies and given certificates.

For a long time, Filipinos accustomed to have graduation rites in their 6th grade and 4th year high school under the old 10-year basic education cycle, marking elementary and high school completion.

But since the country shifted to a 12-year basic education cycle under the K to 12 (Kindergarten to 12 years) program, two more years were added to the education cycle in order to produce high school graduates ready for college or even employment, as they will finish basic education at age 18.

The K to 12 educational program was the flagship education reform measure of the administration of former President Benigno Aquino III, implemented in 2013.

For the yearender ceremonies of 2018-2019, DepEd said that schools should focus on the theme "Unity in Diversity: Quality Education for all" under the new memorandum.

"This theme highlights the role of the K to 12 Basic Education Program in developing an educated society where the challenges and benefits of diversity are embraced and welcomed by every Filipino," Briones said.

The memorandum also states that schools should conduct end of school year rites not earlier than April 1 but not later than April 5.

The department's new memorandum was issued Order No. 002 s. of 2019 which now cites that graduation ceremony as applicable to Grade 6 completers contrary to the previous released.

Meanwhile, public schools personnel also warned by the department that they are not allowed to collect any kind of contribution or fee for the benefit of school year rites.

1 hour travel cut to 5 minutes 'THAT'S HEAVEN!'--- Duterte lauds NLEX Harbor Link opening

Manila---As one of the administration's battle to ease traffic bottlenecks, President Rodrigo Duterte lauded the construction of the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10, calling it 'heaven' as the travel period between Valenzuela to Caloocan will be cut from 1 hour to just 5 minutes.

"Travel time between Valenzuela City and Caloocan, for example, will be reduced from one hour to about five minutes, "that’s heaven," Duterte said in his speech during inauguration of NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 and the groundbreaking of the NLEX-SLEX Connector Road Thursday.

Duterte, who led the ceremony expects that the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 will decongest major thoroughfares and improve linkages going to Manila Port as the lanes will be available to public transport on Friday.

The NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10, a 5.65-km, six-lane road which traverses the cities of Valenzuela, Malabon and Caloocan is expected to divert  20,000 vehicles daily away from the central eye of Metro Manila.

According to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the NLEX Harbor Link is seen to advance transport logistics as it will serve as an alternative southbound route to Metro Manila bypassing Balintawak Cloverleaf and EDSA which facilitates efficient delivery of goods as cargo trucks will have 24/7 direct access from the port area to the provinces in northern Luzon and vice versa via the NLEX.

"The expressway is seen to improve accessibility and connectivity between key areas of Metro Manila and some provinces of Luzon via the North Luzon Expressway," DPWH secretary Mark Villar said in a statement.

In line with this, Duterte expressed his will that the administration is committed to its 10-point socioeconomic agenda, living in the bayanihan spirit and strong sense of nationhood.

"This will definitely improve access and mobility in the area and result in greater socio-economic gains for our industries and communities. I am hopeful that the remaining portions of the NLEX Harbor Link Project will be completed within the next two years," Duterte said.

The construction of 2.7-kilometer Segment 10 Exit Ramp to Radial Road (R-10) is currently ongoing to extend NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 up to R-10 using Circumferential Road 3 (C-3) as its route.
Segment 10 Exit Ramp to R-10 is targeted to be completed in January 2020.

The DPWH said the full construction will further reduce travel time from NLEX to Manila Port Area in Manila to only 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, simultaneous with the full opening of the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 was the commencement of the two-year construction of the P23.3-billion NLEX-SLEX Connector Road Project which will be started in May this year.

The NLEX-SLEX connector road is eight kilometers, elevated, and with four lanes. The expressway extends the NLEX southward from the end of Segment 10 along C-3 Road Caloocan to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Sta. Mesa, Manila and connects to the Skyway Stage 3, mostly along the Philippine National Railways (PNR) track.

The expressway is expected to reduce travel time between NLEX and SLEX from two hours to just 20 minutes and between Clark, Pampanga and Calamba, Laguna from three hours to just one hour and 40 minutes.

Likewise, travel between the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and Clark Airport will improve and will benefit around 35,000 motorists a day.

"Identification of right-of-way requirement and most of acquisition activities were completed hence the earlier as planned start construction activities for the NLEX-SLEX connector road project," DPWH secretary said.

Duterte, also expressed his gratitude for the people behind the construction and the Filipinos who will benefit the most.

"All of the projects that we undertake and will do for the rest of my term, [we] give our gratitude to the builders, to the contractors, the partners of government and we place it in the name of the people of the Republic of the Philippines," he said.

"Nobody can claim credit in the name of the people, it is their money and for all of us," he added.

The conglomerate Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPTC) bagged the contract to build the P23.3-billion connector road.

“NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 and NLEX Connector are just some of Metro Pacific’s expansion projects geared towards providing further convenience to motorists and bringing more opportunities in nearby cities and provinces,” MPTC president and CEO Rodrigo Franco said.
